Alexander Aizenshtat is the founder of a new art movement in the fine arts world — metaphysical expressionism. He aims to undermine the apathy of the viewer to himself and to the world around him. Through figurative and abstract paintings Aizenshtat confronts us with an honest image of a man and a world.
Aizenshtat was exhibited around the world, including Paris and New York. Among his exhibitions could be found exhibitions at MMOMA (Moscow Museum of Modern Art), at The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts curated by Irina Antonova, in The State Tretyakov Gallery curated by Zelfira Tregulova, at Christie’s in Moscow and in The Jewish Museum in Eisenstadt, Austria.
In 2022, after the Abraham Accords were signed, the Kingdom of Bahrain invited Aizenshtat to create a series of paintings in the country. During 9 months he created a substantive collection of new paintings celebrating Region’s rich cultural heritage under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with continued support of His Excellency Sheikh Rashid Al Khalifa. And now part of that collection is exhibited at Rarares Gallery in Dubai.
