Zeina Abdullah is a multidisciplinary Egyptian artist active in the contemporary art scene in the UAE, whose practice explores memory, loss, and emotional experience. She creates complex and layered works that resonate with vulnerability and strength, examining how personal and collective histories, life experiences, and cultural continuity intersect. She earned a Fine Arts degree from the University of Sharjah in 2024. Abdullah’s work has been exhibited in a range of institutions and projects, reflecting her interest in emotional introspection and the cultural heritage of the region, including the traditions and daily life of the United Arab Emirates.
Family, ritual, and communal spaces form a central theme in her work, through which she reflects on the symbolic power of daily practices. Everyday objects in her work become silent witnesses carrying layered emotional memories. Drawing on the significance of Emirati domestic traditions and daily life, Abdullah reimagines private and public spaces as sites for reflection, remembrance, and healing. Her contemplative installations embody the belief that memory is evolving, and that emotional and cultural heritage can be anchored materially.
